Shane Neville - Branch Assistant Clonroche

Every day is different. I have my own responsibilities and am given the chance to do things my own way. Through my work I feel like I am contributing, it is good to see people walking away from our branch with a smile on their faces. As a co-op I have a great relationship with the customers, there is a real sense of family and belonging in Tirlán. I am interested in development, and I have completed several technical training programmes and will further develop with a course in retail management.

Elaine Lafferty - Head of Capital and Process Projects

We trust people to perform in a flexible, hybrid working environment. We are given autonomy, allowing us to challenge ourselves, collaborate and perform at our best. This trust, coupled with our coaching culture, leads to empowerment, allowing us to think and do things for ourselves. This gives you an increasing confidence to be yourself. For me, being accepted, valued, and respected for the role I do and the way I do it, creates a sense of belonging with my colleagues and in the organisation.

Gavin Dharmapuri Janarthanan - Graduate Engineer

I’ve found the graduate programme to be like a well-constructed bridge helping me to build my career. I’ve been able to align my role with my passion for sustainability, learning a lot from my colleagues, some of whom have been in the business for nearly 40 years. When I started in Tirlán, it was also a new country for me. Now, I don’t feel like I’m in a new place, it has become a home to me. This is because of my approachable and friendly co-workers.
